Event Updates
-
As of 2023, BorderCon will be following the broader guidelines that are in place in the wider Australian community.
- We strongly encourage mask wearing but it is not mandatory to wear a mask.
- We recommend regular hand sanitisation over the entire weekend and hand sanitiser stations will be available throughout the function area.
- We ask anyone that is unwell in the days before the event to stay home and not attend. BorderCon will honour a refund in these situations.
- If you become unwell during the event we ask that you do not attend the gaming rooms and in severe cases that you consider returning home.
- BorderCon will again refund any tickets for attendees that feel they need to return home.
- Please return any dishes or cups promptly to the bar when finished or dispose of them in the bin quickly. Minimising such items on tabletops can help minimise any spread.
- We ask that gamers work together to spray and wipe down their gaming table after the completion of every game. Sanitisation stations will be available for this purpose.
- We ask attendees to bring some RAT tests with them should they feel ill and need to test. BorderCon will have a small supply but these may not last the duration of the event.
- ULTIMATELY – All people attending BorderCon 2023 do so at their own risk. We believe our guidelines are clear. It is up to each individual to assess their own risk.
